Apple Spring 2022 Event Is Around The Corner And This Is What We Expect To Be Announced

Apple is expected to announce a few new products in the first half of this year and if the rumors turn out to be true some of them could come as soon as April. We’ve been hearing of all kinds of potential announcements including new iPhones, new iPads, and more.

If you’re wondering what Apple could announce at what will surely be a virtual event, here’s our rundown of what you should probably be expecting.

New iPhone SE

Perhaps the one that we’re most sure about at this point. A new iPhone SE is overdue and we’re expecting one that looks largely like the outgoing device but with new internals.

That means a new A15 Bionic processor and support for 5G, making this a bargain device for those who want the fastest connections. The screen will remain a 4.7-inch LCD, too.

New iPad Air

Apple’s iPad Air stole hearts with its refresh that brought an iPad Pro-like design in late 2020 and now it’s time for another go around. We don’t expect a huge change in terms of how this will look, so the squared-off edges and Touch ID will remain, as will a USB-C port and some colors. A new processor and 5G support has been rumored, while support for Center Stage is also likely.

New 27-inch iMac

Whether this will end up being called an iMac Pro remains to be seen, but it’s likely to get a mini-LED screen as well as support for 120Hz ProMotion. The same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips from the popular 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros seem to be a given at this point, making this quite the powerhouse option.

New Mac mini

This is a machine that will likely sit above the current M1 Mac mini but again packing the M1 Pro and M1 Max processors that are much loved by MacBook Pro owners.

This could be seen as a Mac Pro mini of sorts thanks to its power, but we’re still waiting to hear what the real Mac Pro will bring to the table in terms of Apple silicon.
