Jailbreak iOS 15.2.1 On iPhone And iPad – Status Update

Looking to jailbreak iOS 15.2.1 on your iPhone or iPad? Here’s the latest status update on what you need to know regarding iOS 15.2.1 jailbreak.

Apple has released iOS 15.2.1 to the world and people are installing it on their devices right now. That update brings with it bug fixes and security improvements and is definitely worth installing as soon as possible. But as with all updates, those who like to jailbreak their devices likely only have one question to ask — can iOS 15.2.1 be jailbroken?

That’s a very good question indeed, especially if you’re someone who might want to jailbreak your device at some point in the future. As has been the case with the last few updates, you’re good to go if you’re using an iPhone X or older and that isn’t going to change.

That’s the current situation because the checkra1n jailbreak is bootrom-based, meaning it can’t be patched in software. That, in turn, means that no iOS update is going to prevent an iPhone X or older from being jailbroken. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that the rest of us are out of luck, including that shiny new iPhone 13 that you’re clinging to.

Things might change in the future, of course, and you never do know when a new jailbreak could be made available for even Apple’s latest iPhones. Keep that in mind, but as jailbreaking becomes less and less popular it seems less likely that modern iPhones will be jailbroken any time soon.
