Apple’s iPhone SE With 5G Could Arrive In April Says Analyst

Apple is strongly expected to announce a new iPhone SE refresh within the next few months and a new report by display analyst Ross Young suggests that could happen in late-April, early-May.

Previous timescales have pointed towards a March or April release based on information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and this latest report very much ties in with that.

According to Young the new iPhone SE displays will begin manufacturing before the end of this month.

The same report says that a launch in the second half of April is a possibility with availability of the new devices following that.

The new iPhone SE is expected to look very similar to the version that it will replace while adding support for 5G connectivity for the first time. The device will also likely get an updated processor as well as a new camera system, although information on both hasn’t been leaked in its entirety so far.

Apple’s iPhone SE has long been one of the best iPhones for the majority of people — especially those who would prefer to continue to use a Home button rather than make the move to Face ID. But even iPhone SE is likely to move to Face ID sooner rather than later, with reports suggesting an iPhone XR-like redesign is in store as soon as next year.
