Apple released its first iOS 27.3 beta yesterday, and the update brings an important new feature to the iPhone Duo.
The new addition is a reworked version of the existing Reachability feature found on other iPhones, and it makes it easier to use the usually wide foldable iPhone one-handed.

The iPhone Duo, when closed, has a more squat display than traditional iPhones, which makes it easier to reach the top edge. But it also means that reaching the far side is harder than usual, especially for those with smaller hands.
Reachability normally brings the top of the iPhone’s display down so users can more easily reach it. But with the iPhone Duo, it instead moves the display horizontally.
The feature can be enabled via the Accessibility section of the Settings app on an iPhone Duo running iOS 27.3, but the update is only available to developers right now. It’s expected that it will be made available to those on the public beta program within days, while a final release to the wider iPhone-owning world is likely to come in the middle of December.

The iOS 27.3 beta also brings Apple Intelligence to Chinese iPhones, while support for the Apple Watch’s new Audio Intelligence features is also part of the update alongside a new watchOS 27.3 beta. That’s also expected to be made publicly available in the middle of December.
