Oliver Haslam·March 21, 2015
Times are hard, and with smartphones and watches costing hundreds of dollars, each something has to give. Thankfully, that something doesn't have to be your gaming obsession thanks to Sony and its latest gaming sale. In fact, we would probably say that the word 'sale' doesn't truly do this thing justice. Now 'price massacre,' that sounds a little more like it.

How To Play iOS 7 MFi Controller Games Using PS3 DualShock 3 Controller [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·January 20, 2014
It's pretty much common knowledge by now that Apple integrated native game controller support with the launch of iOS 7 last year. The officially introduced APIs in the iOS 7 SDK make it relatively easy for game developers to allow their offerings to be interacted with via a hardware controller that conforms to Apple's blueprints. However, the initial wave of controllers have proven to be quite expensive, prohibitively so in some cases, meaning that not a lot of users are taking the plunge and parting with upwards of $99 to play a $0.99 game. Thankfully the jailbreak community has come to the rescue once again with the release of Controllers for All, a tweak that allows PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 controllers to be used in conjunction with these MFi Game Controller iOS 7 games.

Gaikai Game Streaming Service Coming To PS4 As Well As PS3 And PS Vita

Ben Reid·December 3, 2013
Although the PlayStation 4's lack of backwards compatibility threatened to spill over into hysteria, Sony promised that Gaikai, a service recently acquired by the Japanese company, would allow gamers to enjoy PlayStation 3 titles via cloud streaming, and now, it has been revealed that the service will also be launched on the PS3 and PS Vita. Although the Vita had been looking like a bit of a dead horse - particularly given the popularity of mobile gaming via smartphones and tablets - its integration with the often record-breaking PS4 could bring a new lease of life to the handheld, and Gaikai support will certainly do its cause no harm.

How To Use Android Phone As A PS3 Or PC Controller [VIDEO]

Oliver Haslam·September 30, 2013
Playing games on a PlayStation 3 or PC is great fun using a game controller like the Dual Shock 3 from Sony, but inputting data like usernames, passwords or messages to friends using the controller and an on-screen keyboard is no fun at all. Yes there are chatpads and keyboards available with an aim of making getting words onto the screen less of a chore, but that's further expense that in this day and age we can all do without. But, as is always the case, there's another way to achieve the same goal without spending a penny.

12GB Flash-Based PS3 Model Now On Sale In U.S. And Canada

Paul Morris·August 19, 2013
Much of the excitement and hysteria surrounding the gaming industry may be focused on the soon-to-be released PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One, but that doesn't mean Sony are ready to give up on their current-generation hardware. The PlayStation 4 is likely to prove to be extremely popular when it is released later in the year, but it also seems that the Japanese electronics giants are giving more budget focused consumers what they want by making the much talked about flash-based 12GB PlayStation 3 available in two of video games biggest markets.
