Unreleased iPhone 12 MagSafe Leather Cases Leak On Video

Apple announced the iPhone 12 MagSafe Leather Cases alongside the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro lineup last month but, so far, they haven’t been released for us to buy. That might be getting closer to actually happening after a video showing the new cases appeared online.

The video, shared via a blog post by Macerkopf, shows three new leather cases complete with the MagSafe magnets that we’d expect to see. The three cases give us a look at all three iPhone sizes and, once again, confirm just how small that iPhone 12 mini is going to be.

Google Translate tells us that the original post highlights the suede-like lining, something that has made previous Apple leather cases so popular.

One of our readers (thanks), who is at the source and recently sent us a hands-on for the iPhone 12 (Pro) silicon cases , now has photos and a first hands-on video for the leather case for the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 (Pro) and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The first impression is that the covers are made of high quality and lined with a kind of suede. The outside offers a smooth but non-slip surface. MagSafe is on board and worked smoothly in an initial test.

Interestingly it also seems that these new cases will go on sale this coming Friday, November 6. That’s also the same day Apple will make the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max available for order – so the timing would most certainly make sense. There’s no indication what these things will sell for, either, but they won’t be cheap.

Apple’s leather cases never are.
