Apple today has released iTunes 10 for both Windows and Mac OS X. This is a major release which brings lots of new feature to one of the most popular software around. Some of these features are highlighted below.
So yea.. it was very lame on Apple’s part to restrict all users expect those with Macs and iOS devices for the live video stream of “Special Media Event” which will be broadcasted at 10:00 a.m. PDT (click here to see what time is it in your region) on September 1, 2010. But thanks to MacRumors, there is now a workaround which will enable all Windows and Linux users to watch the live video stream without having to own any of the Macs or iOS devices.
Back at the special iPhone 4 conference in July of this year, Steve Jobs announced free cases for every iPhone 4 purchased through September 30. China Unicom, which happens to be the only official and authorized carrier in the world's largest cellphone market (China) for iPhones and iPads is going to provide full service to its customers, which includes jailbreaking, converting SIM Card to Micro-SIM, installation of 10 of the most popular apps from Cydia, and a free case on every new purchase of iPhone 4 and iPad 3G. This was spotted by a Chinese citizen on a large advertising banners outside some of the China Unicom’s stores, as can be seen in the images below.
Microsoft’s co-founder Paul Allen has sued 11 major companies: Apple, Google, Facebook, eBay, AOL, Yahoo!, Netflix, Staples, Office Depot, OfficeMax and YouTube, claiming that they have violated four different patent rights which his company Interval Licensing LLC owns.
Earlier today, an Apple Store was robbed in San Diego, California by two guys dressed up in jeans and hoodies. They smashed into the store late at night and took away a dozen iPhones which were on display. Since there wasn’t anyone around at that time, no one was injured.
Apple’s Special Media Event: Preparation for the Launch of Next iPod touch 4 Begins in San Francisco
Apple has started hanging banners outside San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in preparation for the upcoming “Special Event” which will be held on September 1st, here in San Francisco. The large musical guitar banner which you can see in the images below hints towards a music-related event, as it has been for the last few years.
Not so long ago, we covered about Apple’s rumored plans to launch a new iMac with a multitouch display which will run a iOS 4 layer on top of OS X to use touchscreen capabilities. Well it looks like we are finally going to see a touchscreen computer from Apple after all. A new interesting patent has just popped up which shows a touchscreen capable iMac dubbed as the “Apple iMac Touch”.
Facebook for iPhone App has Over 100 Million Users! That is as Much as All iOS Devices Sold by Apple
According to a recent post on Facebook blog, Facebook has over 150 million users actively accessing the worlds largest social networking site via mobile devices. Out of those 150 million active mobile users, “Facebook for iPhone” accounts for a staggering 100 million users per month. Now that is as much as the number of iOS based devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) sold by Apple as per June of this year. What this means is that there is a “Facebook for iPhone” app installed on almost every iOS device ever sold!
