When Apple launched the App Store, there was a flurry of cool apps the likes of which didn’t exist before. But in the years since, these whimsical apps have fallen by the wayside.
Thankfully, the launch of the iPhone Duo has ushered in a whole new crop of funky, fun-filled apps.
This app turns your iPhone Duo into a miniature retro computer, using the foldable design of the device as a way to mimic an older laptop or computer.
Those that can be enjoyed all over again include the iBook G3, iMac G3, and even the iconic Macintosh, plus more.
Portal can be used as a meditation aid or just a way to enjoy some gorgeous natural environments on your foldable iPhone. There are more than 100 for you to choose from, each offering audio and breathing exercises designed to help calm you.
Delta Game Emulator
The Delta game emulator has been around for years, but this latest version adds support for turning the iPhone Duo into a Nintendo DS in ways never before possible.
If you’re a fan of classic Nintendo handheld gaming, this is the app for you.

This cool app turns your iPhone Duo into an old cassette player, including the ability to close the foldable to begin playback just like sliding a tape into an old Sony Walkman.
Taking notes on the iPhone Duo is so satisfying… especially when it looks and feels like a real notebook that truly belongs to you.
With TypeDraw you choose what happens when you “open” your book, and you can personalise it with custom colours, fonts and even your own handwriting.
For everyone lucky enough to have their hands on a Duo today: TypeDraw is available on the App Store now. For everyone else: it also looks and works great on regular iPhones 😄

Featuring Apple Pencil support, this app turns your iPhone into a notebook just like one with real paper. Opening the iPhone Duo is like opening the notebook of the pre-iPhone days.
There are plenty more apps out there, and you can bet that your favorite apps have been updated to support the iPhone Duo, too. We expect more new apps to appear now that the iPhone Duo is officially one sale, too.
