Analyst Again Claims Apple Will Announce Something With A 27-Inch mini-LED Screen In June

Apple hasn’t managed to release its 27-inch Studio Display just yet — it goes on sale tomorrow — but one analyst is again suggesting that the company will announce a new mini-LED display of the same size this June.

However, we don’t yet know what that product will actually be.

According to analyst Ross Young, Apple will announce something with a 27-inch mini-LED screen “around June” but it isn’t yet clear whether that will be some sort of standalone display or if there is a new iMac of some sort in the offing.

Apple no longer sells an iMac Pro and the prospect of the all-in-one’s return with a new display and perhaps an M1 Ultra chip inside is definitely something to whet the appetite.

However, while the arrival of a new iMac Pro is something that many would hope for, Apple could also ship a Studio Display Pro of some sort, according to Young. The analyst has however conceded that there is little more than guesswork going on there.

Apple already uses mini-LED technology in the iPad Pro, and MacBook Pro. The technology allows for improved brightness, contrast, and more and would also potentially mean the inclusion of ProMotion technology for a variable refresh rate.
