Jailbreak iOS 15.4 On iPhone And iPad Status Update

Are you looking to jailbreak iOS 15.4 on your iPhone or iPad? Here’s the latest status update on what you need to know regarding iOS 15.4 jailbreak and removing your device from Apple’s walled garden.

After weeks of teasing and beta releases, Apple has finally released iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 to the world. That means that tons of compatible devices all over the globe are taking the opportunity to install the latest software release and interact with all of the latest improvements and bug fixes.

Some people will simply take the plunge and install the update. Others, however, will have one eye on the latest Apple improvements and one eye on a potential jailbreak. Before they take the plunge and get iOS 15.4 installed, they’ll want to understand the latest jailbreak status update.

Unfortunately, unlike the golden years of jailbreaking, the answer to the question “can I jailbreak my device?” isn’t a straightforward one. It really depends on what device you are in possession of. Those who are using an iPhone X (2017) or older, are extremely fortunate due to the existence of the Checkra1n jailbreak. That particular jailbreak is bootrom-based and therefore cannot be patched by Apple as it exists at a hardware level.

If you are looking for the too-long-didn’t-read version, then if you have an iPhone X or older device, then you can jailbreak forever thanks to Checkra1n.

As you might have guessed, if you have something newer than the iPhone X – such as Apple’s iPhone 11, iPhone 12, or iPhone 13, to name a few – then you are effectively out of luck at the moment. You will have to exercise some patience as there is currently no jailbreak available for those devices and iOS 15.4.

We’re sure that someone, somewhere, will be looking into this situation with a view to rectifying it and enabling a jailbreak. However, there are no timescales for that and it’s not a promise that we can make at the moment.
