The iPhone Dev Team has just updated Redsn0w to version 0.9.5b5-5. Some iPhone users were complaining about MMS and APN issues on their jailbroken iOS 4 devices. Well the good news is that you can now fix this issue with this latest version of Redsn0w. The official change log is as follows.
Yes! I have got iMovie, which is an iPhone 4 exclusive app running almost perfectly on my iPhone 3GS. I did this video just to show that iPhone 3GS is fast, and capable enough to run iMovie. It is just that Apple wants us all to purchase the new iPhone 4 by saying that iPhone 3GS’ hardware is not good enough for this stuff.
By now, most of you might have heard rumors about the iOS 4.0.1 firmware update which Apple is preparing to release tomorrow in order to fix the ongoing reception issue on iPhone 4. Even though the issue is most likely related to the hardware, the buzz is that Apple is preparing a software fix in order to avoid (Apple sold 1.5 million iPhone 4s on the first day) what could be the biggest recall in the history of consumer electronics.
TinyUmbrella has been updated to support iPhone 4 (running iOS 4). It is important to save SHSH Blobs (ECID SHSH) files of your iPhone 4 now because of all the rumors going around regarding a new firmware update, which could be released as early as next week. Apparently, there was some discussion going on about iOS 4.0.1 update in Apple Technical Support Forums which was later removed for unknown reasons.
I must have been asked this question a zillion times by now via email, twitter and on facebook on “how to check whether or not I have the new bootrom on my iPhone 3GS?”. Since it is very difficult, if not impossible for me to reply to each and everyone individually, I thought posting about it for everyone is the only option.
C.K. of SampletheWeb contacted Steve Jobs about the annoying iPhone 4 reception issue which has been plaguing most users who got the device at launch. The official response from Apple was - you are holding it the wrong way.
You must have heard about the buzz going on about the yellow tint / spot on the Retina display of iPhone 4 screen. This could be present anywhere from top left corner of the screen, middle, to lower corners of the screen. This of course is not good, specially because the new Retina display has been hyped like crazy, both by Apple and Press.
You can keep on talking about desktops era being over, iPads and tablets killing Windows based netbooks and notebooks, but you cant deny the fact that Windows 7 is by far the fastest selling OS in the history! and it runs on majority of the notebooks/netbooks and desktop PCs near you.
Here’s some interesting news related to iMac and iOS 4. How many of you thought that iOS 4 is limited to the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad only? We used to think the same, but looks like all that’s going to change. Apple is planning to ship iOS with its next iMac refresh with a touch-screen display.
