Rumor: Apple Watch Series 7 Could Come In 41mm And 45mm Sizes For Bigger Displays

Apple is set to announce the Apple Watch Series 7 within the next couple of months if all of the rumors are true, but we might be getting something we hadn’t bargained for despite all the rumors.

According to a new report, the Apple Watch Series 7 could come with new, larger 41mm and 45mm screens.

The report comes via Weibo and a source that has been fairly accurate in the past. According to Uncle Pan, the larger screens are in the works.

Via machine translation:

I vaguely think that this year’s Apple Series Series 7 has two models in sizes 41mm and 45mm, with the old and new straps universal

Such a move would mean that both the 40mm and 44mm Apple Watch designs would grow by a single millimeter, but don’t expect the overall case to change in size. Previous rumors have claimed that Apple will reduce the size of the Apple Watch bezels, allowing the screen to grow without making the overall device larger.

One important point to note is the claim that the existing Apple Watch bands will continue to fit the new, larger Apple Watches. That’s another indication that the devices themselves won’t grow, at least not by too much. It’s also welcome news for those of us with a collection of bands already, too.
