Rumor: 16-Inch MacBook Pro To Launch In October, 13-Inch MacBook Pro And Air Refresh Also Coming

You don’t need to have been following the 16-inch MacBook Pro rumors too closely to know that one is undoubtedly in the works.

There’s far too much smoke for there to be no fire on this occasion and according to a new report by Taiwan’s Economic Daily News we could see the notebook as soon as October.

A lot of the report corroborates previous claims. Those include the reports from IHS Markit previously that the new notebook will use an LG display with a resolution of 3072×1920.

However the computer itself is likely to be built by a combination of Foxconn and Quanta which are already two of Apple’s biggest partners when it comes to building products.

Supply chain sources have Apple refreshing the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro this coming October, although there is no mention for the 15-inch model currently. That leads us to wonder whether the 16-inch model will replace it, or if we will see three MacBook Pro models come September.

While the plans for the 15-inch MacBook Pro aren’t clear, the increasing number of leaks relating to the 16-inch MacBook Pro do appear to suggest that we will see its arrival before the end of the year.

Rumors have said that there is a potential for a launch in fall or next year, but when rumors start to regularly surface it’s often a sign that a product launch isn’t too far away.
