Apple has released the second public beta of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, giving anyone with a compatible iPhone or iPad the chance to try the latest software before its official release. The update arrives just one week after the first public beta.
If you want to test the new software, you can sign up through Apple’s Beta Software Program and then head to Settings > General > Software Update to install the iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 Public Beta.

The biggest highlight of iOS 27 is the new Siri AI experience. Siri is now much smarter and can search the web, understand what’s on your screen, access personal information, and complete tasks across multiple apps. Apple has also introduced a dedicated Siri app for more natural conversations on devices that support Apple Intelligence.
The update also refines Apple’s Liquid Glass design with a new transparency slider, giving users more control over the interface. AI features have expanded across the system, including smarter photo editing tools, automatic Safari tab organization, natural language Shortcuts, and improved writing assistance through Siri.
Other additions include Visual Intelligence inside the Camera app, custom EQ controls for AirPods, support for 4K security cameras in the Home app, and new child safety features for families.

Apple has also focused on performance. The company says apps launch faster, AirDrop transfers are quicker, the keyboard feels more responsive, and overall system performance has been improved, even on older supported iPhones.
If you’re comfortable running beta software, the latest public beta offers an early look at many of the features coming to iPhone and iPad later this year.
