This Web App Brings Essential Photo Editing Tools To Your Browser, Lets You Make Quick Edits On The Fly

Oliver Haslam·October 19, 2013
There was once a time when editing photos was something that would take a pretty high end computer and a graphics suite that was expensive enough to make your eyes water. These days though, it's possible to do some rather impressive things using nothing but a Web browser and a nice stable Internet connection. Fotor is one service that lets users upload images and then edit them from the safety of the browser window, with no need for something as unwieldy as 'real' photo-editing software.

Google Sends Out Invites To A Night Out With No Nexus 5 In Sight

Oliver Haslam·October 19, 2013
It doesn't matter that we're all sat eagerly anticipating invites to a Nexus 5 announcement event to pop up in all the usual places because Google is staying very much tight lipped. Instead, the Android maker has sent out some invites to something wholly less interesting, with the 24th of October set to be a day of Google Play news, rather than new hardware.

Pod2g Shows That Apple Can Indeed Read Your iMessages, And They’re Not Alone [VIDEO]

Oliver Haslam·October 19, 2013
Talk of Apple being able to read iMessage contents is nothing that new, but it's been at the fore today after the iPhone and iPad maker was forced to reiterate that it cannot see the content of messages, even if it wanted to. That may have put people's minds at rest, and while it should be reassuring, Apple's claim has already had a bog old dollop of doubt thrown at it by jailbreak supremo Pod2g.

Nokia Working On Its Own Smartwatch Effort According To Patent Filing, Gets Concept Video

Ben Reid·October 18, 2013
Samsung may have been the first major company to deliver a smartwatch in the form of Galaxy Gear, but it certainly won't be the last, and with Apple also rumored to be working on a purported "iWatch" device, it would appear that Finnish outfit Nokia has similar ideas. Not only do we have some interesting patent filings that the company has just passed on to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, but there's also a neat video of the concept, offering a rough idea of how the technology might work.

Official Android 4.3 Update For Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) Rolling Out Now

Ben Reid·October 18, 2013
Waiting for a new version of Android to hit all of the devices set out upon release can become rather tedious, and although things are now a lot quicker than in the days of Ice Cream Sandwich, the only way to really guarantee staying up-to-date is to pick up a smartphone or tablet running on stock Android. During Unpacked Episode 2, Samsung made it known that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean would finally be coming to the LTE version of its flagship Galaxy S4, which carries the model number GT-I9505. After a relatively short wait, the update is finally here, in-keeping with the projected October release date. Details can be found after the break.

Google's as-yet unannounced Nexus 5 has seen its fair share of leaks of late, with videos, photos and general ramblings filling the Internet over the last week or two.
