Magic Keyboard With Trackpad For iPad Pro Available To Order Now, Shipping Starts April 24

Apple first announced the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro last month when the 2020 iPad Pro was announced. At the time we were told not to expect it to be available for order until May, but Apple seems to have been able to pull something out of the bag – it’s available for order on apple.com right now.

We’re told that it will start to arrive in everyone’s homes from next week onwards which is mighty impressive considering everything that is going on.

You can order direct from Apple now, starting at $299 for the model for the 11-inch iPad Pro. Those with the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro will need to hand over an extra $50, unfortunately.

But it should be worth the outlay. The new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro is streets ahead of the old Smart Keyboard Folio in a number of ways. Not least the fact that it comes with a trackpad built right into it, just like a notebook.

The keys themselves now use the famous scissor switches, and they’re finally, finally backlit. Why it’s taken so long to get an Apple keyboard for its own tablet that has lights in, we just don’t know.

Sure, this isn’t a cheap accessory to pick up. But if you’re hoping to make the most of the new trackpad support added in iPadOS 13.4, this thing could be well worth the investment. Remember, order now and have it next week!
