iPhone peripherals are certainly not hard to come by in today's market, and this is perhaps not all that surprising given that the Cupertino smartphone is by far the most popular model available. But finding good quality accessories is a different ball game completely, with many cheap pretenders swamping the industry among the rare, noteworthy gems. Twelve South is a US-based company dedicated to bringing Apple-centric items of the highest order, and the new HiRise for iPhone 5 and iPad mini makes for a very practical, eye-catching stand.

This fall, we're expecting to see many new and exciting products out of Cupertino. As well as the possibility of Intel's Haswell processor hitting the MacBook Pro and iMac, we're also likely to see a next-gen iPhone, perhaps a cheaper iPhone, and according to a recent WSJ article, a Retina iPad mini. Of the main releases, that only leaves the fifth-gen iPad, and a leaked video that has just hit the Web allegedly offers an idea as to what the forthcoming Apple tablet will look like when it hits the stores.
A short while ago, reports surfaced of Apple testing an iPad mini 2 packing an A6 processor, but notably, bereft of that elusive Retina display. Just when we suspected all hope was lost of seeing a beautifully crisp resolution to suit the slick design of the smaller Cupertino tablet anytime soon, The Wall Street Journal has waded into the argument to suggest that, in actual fact, a Retina iPad mini may well make it out to the market this year.
Imgur has finally brought its image sharing services to iOS in the form of a new app released over at the App Store. Imgur for iPhone makes it easy to view rate and share those viral images we all know and love, and although it does have one or two shortcomings in its fledgling state, is well worth checking out and downloading. Details after the break.
We should all know by now that when it comes to pre-release versions of iOS there is generally no stone left unturned by those investigative minds that love nothing more than ripping through the internals to see what they can find. The latest iOS 7 beta SDK release is no different, and this time it seems that a keen-eyed developer has cottoned on to Apple testing out an enhanced iPad mini, evidence of which is located deep inside of a hidden file within the SDK.
iMessage, Apple's cross device messaging service for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac, has been a relative success since first appearing with iOS 5 and subsequently, OS X Lion. Yet like most fledgling services, it has had its fair share of teething issues, with a notable lack of proper blocking / reporting feature in place for spam messages. iOS 7 will allow users to block Apple IDs causing offence as we already know, but now, the Cupertino has also rolled out a nifty spam reporting feature enabling users to take action against any kind of intrusive or otherwise unwanted behavior.
Casual gaming has taken off to be one of the biggest things that nobody thought would ever happen. Gone are the days where the only video game you could play had to be in front of a TV, connected to a system with zero portability. Mobile games are one of the driving forces for procrastination, but let's face it, most mobile games suck for actual gaming. Touch-screen devices are perfect for one-touch controlled puzzlers such as Temple Run, or Angry Birds, but don't perform as well when an analogue axis and buttons are slapped onto the screen.
This is just in. Looks like Apple has randomly started signing iOS 6.0.x for a number of devices including the latest iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad mini, iPad 4, 3 and iPod touch 5. If you accidently updated to the latest firmware, or if your device came with iOS 6.1.4 / 6.1.3 pre-installed, now is the time to downgrade back to 6.0.x and jailbreak using Evasi0n.
