Apple Releases iOS 27.2 Beta 3 For Developers

Apple is continuing work on its next major iPhone software update with the release of iOS 27.2 beta 3 for developers. The latest test version comes roughly two weeks after the previous beta and arrives alongside a new iPadOS 27.2 beta.

The update can be installed by developers enrolled in Apple’s testing program. On a compatible iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update and choose the iOS 27 developer beta.

One of the main changes coming with iOS 27.2 is a redesigned Health app. Apple is introducing new Insights and Longevity sections, giving users additional ways to view and understand their health information.

Siri is also getting an upgrade. Apple is preparing to expand its AI-powered Siri features to more languages, with the company previously confirming that the new language support is expected to arrive in October.

The timing of the iOS 27.2 beta release is particularly interesting. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone Duo on October 23, and the new device is reportedly set to ship with iOS 27.1 instead.

This unusual release order could mean Apple is holding back certain iPhone Duo-related features until after the device launches. If Apple’s timeline stays on track, iOS 27.2 could reach the public sometime after the October 23 launch.
