Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro comes with the new A20 Pro chip inside, making it the fastest iPhone ever. Now, a developer has been able to make Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, Fallout 4, and more top-tier games run on it natively.
The developer built a Windows PC game emulator for iOS that allows the games to run at 720p and 30fps or better, according to a post to the X social network.

Notebookcheck notes that the emulator is a port of Wine along with an ARM64 and DirectX-to-Metal translation layer. It also requires Just In Time (JIT) support to function, which means the emulator needs to be sideloaded and cannot be installed via the App Store.
Dubbed Maderia, the emulator requires an iPhone 13 Pro or newer, but it’s when used on the iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max that it comes into its own. We can surely also expect the emulator to worth with the upcoming iPhone Duo which also uses the A20 Pro, too.
Additionally, Madeira now supports a swap-like implementation that can offload memory to the iPhone’s storage. This reportedly kept RDR 2‘s memory footprint around the 7.6 GB mark, with the possibility of lowering it even further to allow running on 8 GB iPhones.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is running at 30+ FPS on an iPhone 18 Pro.
No PC, no streaming, fully on-device via Madeira.

Support for GTA 5 is currently being worked on, with the report noting that the emulator seems to consider the A20 Pro to be the same as an M5 chip normally found in Macs.
