Apple’s iPhone Duo is set to become available for preorder on Friday, October 16, and a new report suggests that buyers will be able to “Get Ready” for the preorder process on October 12.
MacRumors cites a post on Reddit that notes the new detail has been added to the iPhone Duo product page.
Users will be able to choose their preferred iPhone Duo color and storage capacity, choose their trade-in options, add a payment method, and more ahead of the big preorder date. This makes it quicker and easier to process the preorder when the time comes.
It’s expected that iPhone Duo supplies will be limited, so buyers will no doubt want to get their order in as quickly as possible to get a launch-day device.
The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable device, and production is thought to have been problematic. This could lead to a limited number of handsets being available for the big day, something that has been an issue for all other iPhone launches in recent years.
If the iPhone Duo is on your shopping list, it will be available for preorder on Friday, October 16 at 5 am PT. It’ll officially go on sale a week later on Friday, October 23, with a starting price of $1,999 for the 256GB model. Larger storage capacities will be offered, too.
