Apple may be keeping quiet on what it has planned for the next iPhone, and indeed when that next iPhone will be made available to us mere mortals, but that isn't stopping anyone and everyone claiming to have the inside scoop. The latest line out of Taiwan comes courtesy of the Commercial Times, who are suggesting that Apple's next iPhone - the iPhone 5S, they call it as opposed to iPhone 6 - will not be going into production until later this year. The delay, the publication claims, is being caused by Apple's late decision to jump from the expected 4-inch display to a new, larger 4.3-inch part.
Logic Pro X and MainStage 3 have just been released over at the Mac App Store, with an accompanying Logic Remote app having also been made available via the iTunes App Store. Logic has long since been a big player in the game of music production and audio editing, and the new Logic Pro X, which retails for the recognized price of $199, will be looking build upon this with a host of new and exciting features.
Apple's been at the center of one particular rumor for years now, and that's the rumor that claims an Apple television will eventually come into being. Over the years that rumor has morphed slightly, and now it's generally accepted that the Cupertino firm is indeed trying to come up with some sort of TV service. Whether that will include a television, or whether it will be piped through an Apple TV box like we have today, remains to be seen.
We've heard so many horror stories of children managing to spend small fortunes on in-app purchases when left to their own devices with an iPhone or an iPad, and we'd hoped that such things would come to an end as Apple adds more and more security with an aim of blocking such mishaps. Unfortunately, they missed one unfortunate loophole.
Much fuss has been made of Apple's supposed move from Samsung to TSMC chips for its future iOS devices, with a deal having recently been struck just recently seemingly confirming this to be the case from 2014. With this in mind, you would expect the Apple A9 chips, which wouldn't theoretically make their way to market until 2015, to be produced by TSMC, right? Wrong. Reports are now suggesting that Apple's attempt to move away from Samsung as a primary manufacturing partner is failing miserably, with the South Korean company's expert knowledge of the field once again giving it the green light on the A9.
Apple's iPad mini is pretty much the undisputed king of the small tablet market at this point, and with good reason. Small, light, powerful and above all backed by the App Store, the iPad mini has a lot going for it. Even with all the good though, there's one tick in the bad column that many still find impossible to ignore: the lack of a Retina display.

More Budget iPhone Parts Leak Confirming Color Options, Conceptualized In Beautiful Renders [IMAGES]
The so-called budget iPhone seemed like a ridiculous concept some time ago, a notion reserved for the dreamers or otherwise deluded. But as time has gone on, the prospect of Apple creating a smartphone aimed at the budget end of the market has become a very real possibility, with various leaks and reports suggesting that such a device is indeed a part of Apple's plans. Following the recent Techdy leak of the handset, which combined seemingly legitimate front and back ends to create a visual representation of the alleged device for the world to see, there have been one or two more leaks and concepts thrown up to add even more gasoline to the burning fire. Details after the break!
It's fair to say that a lot of the iOS based discussion on social media sites at the moment is centered around iOS 7 beta 3, and more specifically the differences between this latest version and the original beta launched immediately after this year's WWDC keynote. The sweeping changes between previous versions of iOS and this beta are there for all to see, but it's extremely interesting to see Apple reflecting on developer feedback and making amendments as they go forward towards the final release. What's more interesting though are the changes that some of us might not notice, including the move to utilize the Retina interface assets from iPhone apps in order to provide a better experience for non-Retina iPad users in '2x' mode.
As many of you will be aware by now, the latest iteration of Apple's mobile software was released yesterday, iOS 7 beta 3. Unlike the past betas we've seen released by Apple, beta 1 and beta 2, this version comes without many huge feature additions and vast changes. Most of the goodness within iOS 7 beta 3 stems from the back end, such as improved stability and fluidity.
