Tesla has launched the Model Y L, its longer, three-row SUV in the United States and Puerto Rico. The new EV can be configured online with the “Launch Series” costing $61,990.
As Electrek reports, the Model Y L is a longer version of the Model Y, as the name might suggest. “It adds 150 mm (5.9 inches) to the wheelbase, bringing it to 3,040 mm, and roughly 180 mm (7 inches) to overall length, opening up room for a third row.”

The six seats are made up of a 2+2+2 configuration with the second row gaining independent captain’s chairs with heating, ventilation, and powered armrests.
The third row includes heated seats and power recline as well as anchors that can be used for child seats. The new model also accelerates more quickly than the standard Model Y.
Tesla claims 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and 325 miles of EPA-estimated range for the L — quicker than the standard Model Y and with more range than most three-row electric SUVs on the market. But it’s also amongst the smallest.

Other notable specs include 89 cubic feet of cargo space as well as staggered tires, improved acoustic glass, and a 19-speaker audio system. A second-row 8-inch touchscreen will also be popular while 50W cooled wireless charging pads are also included.
