As Always, Samsung And Xiaomi Poke Fun At iPhone 12 Not Having Charger And Headphones In Box

Apple announced its iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro lineup earlier this week and it didn’t take long for the competition to try and poke fun at the new handsets.

Both Samsung and Xiaomi have poked the bear over the new devices, although they should both probably be a little careful for a number of reasons.

Samsung in particular really went in on Apple, saying that “Your #Galaxy does give you what you are looking for. From a charger, to the best camera, battery, performance, memory and even 120Hz screen on a smartphone.”

That, obviously enough, is taking aim at Apple for missing out on the 120Hz display functionality that we had all been hoping for this time around.

It also points out that it still ships chargers in its boxes – something Apple has decided against doing.

That’s a similar track to the one Xiaomi took. The Chinese phone manufacturer tweeted to say that it hadn’t take anything out of its own boxes, unlike Apple.

However, both companies should know full well that where Apple goes, the industry follows. Samsung poked fun at Apple when it removed the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and, sure enough, it started to the exact same thing a few years later.

It’s surely only a matter of time before the same thing happens with the removal of the charger from Android phone boxes in the future, too.
