Rumored iPhone 14 Case Molds Leak Showing The Expected Larger Camera Bumps

A photo claiming to show the upcoming iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max has appeared online.

To be specific, these aren’t the devices themselves but rather case molds that would be used by accessory manufacturers who need to make sure that their new cases will fit Apple’s new devices.

The image, which was shared to Weibo, appears to show devices that match previous hardware leaks including the fact that Apple will rejig the entire lineup this year. As MacRumors points out, there is no iPhone 14 mini, for example.

After seeing lackluster iPhone mini sales, Apple is offering larger iPhone sizes for its flagship devices: A 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 models are expected to look like the iPhone 13 models with the same flat-edged design.

We’re expecting Apple’s new devices to have larger cameras than ever before while the overall look of the iPhone 14 lineup is expected to mimic that of the outgoing iPhone 13. No firm release dates have been shared by Apple, obviously, but the expectation is that we will see Apple announce the new devices in or around September.

As for the software that will run on the see new iPhones, Apple looks likely to announce iOS 16 at the opening keynote of the WWDC22 event on June 6.
