PS5 Vs PS4 Specs: Sony Officially Reveals Full Specifications Of Its Upcoming PlayStation 5 Gaming Console

Here’s PS5 Vs PS4 specs after Sony officially revealed full specifications of its upcoming PlayStation 5 gaming console.

Just a few days after Microsoft shared plenty of details about what we can expect from the new Xbox Series X, we now have a similar output of information from the folks over at Sony. Mark Cerny, lead architect of the PS4 and PS5 took us through a rundown of what will power the next however many years of PlayStation gaming. And it looks like we could be in for a good time.

Right at the top of the pile is the powerful 3.5GHz 8-core Zen 2 processor that should make sure everything zips around at a grand old pace. Then there’s the 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and 448GB/s of memory bandwidth. There will be 825GB of NVMe SSD storage to play with, too. And you can use external USB drives if you need a little more room, just as you can with the PS4 now.

Graphics will be handled by a custom chip, but talk of 10.82 TFLOPS of power should be plenty to get gamers excited for what we can expect when this thing is made available.

There’s some good news surrounding that, too. Sony reckons that it is still on track to get PS5 into our hands this holiday season, despite the ongoing coronavirus situation and the impact that’s having on manufacturing processes for all manner of technological gadgets.

We’re super excited to see what the PS5 is capable of, and these specifications certainly don’t dampen that. Compare its specs to the PlayStation 4’s and the upcoming console looks like a beast of an upgrade.
