Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy Could Come To The App Store This Year

Gamers could soon be able to play the Grand Theft Auto Remastered trilogy of games on their iPhones and iPads before the year comes to a close. At least, that’s assuming the fluid plans don’t change once more.

According to a new report by Kotaku, Rockstar Dundee is hard at work on getting the trilogy ready for prime time.

That trilogy will include the classic titles Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. And according to reports, it’s going to be available on just about everything that can play games — including mobile devices.

The trilogy was planned to arrive earlier this year, but with COVID-19 and other issues getting in the way, we’re still waiting. But that wait might be coming to an end.

However, plans have changed again, and now the remastered titles are planned to launch around late October or early November for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC, Stadia, and mobile phones.

Being able to play the classics on our iPads sounds like a pretty sweet deal, so we will just have to put our faith in Rockstar Dundee for now. Let’s hope the Scottish arm of Rockstar can pull off something others haven’t and get the trilogy out into the wild.
