iOS 4 brought tons of new features to both the iPhone and iPod touch, the major one being multitasking or task switcher. But if you prefer Exposé style of multitasking in OS X, then Multifl0w is for you! We covered this app last year as well for iOS 3.x, but this new version which has just been released is compatible across all iOS based devices, including iPad on iOS 3.2.x and iPhone on iOS 4.x.
One thing which Apple never fails to do is to impress us all with awesome new ads for their products. And so going by the trend, Apple today has released a brand new ad for iPad which is dubbed as “iPad is Delicious”. What is so delicious about it? Adobe today has released a new version of Photoshop for all iOS based devices, in the process rebranding the old and limited functional Photoshop.com Mobile app for iPhone to Adobe Photoshop Express. This new version brings a new and improved UI, support for iPad, and a whole bunch of new features for the iPad version, which of course makes sense given the larger screen space of the device. One downside? It still lacks support for iPhone 4’s Retina Display, which is a big disappointment in my opinion. Anyhow, the official change log of Adobe Photoshop Express version 1.3 is as follows.
Yesterday, Apple released the iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPod touch 3G / 2G and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad to fix the PDF exploit which was used by JailbreakMe.com. Since the nature of exploit was highly vulnerable, Apple recommended everyone to update to this new firmware in order to secure all iOS based devices. This of course also meant that jailbreak and unlock for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod touch 3G on iOS 4.0.2 / 3.2.2 will not be possible for these mentioned devices.
iOS 3.2.2 has been released to patch the PDF exploit used by JailbreakMe. If you love your jailbroken iPad on iOS 3.2.1 and want to keep the jailbreak, DO NOT update to this new firmware yet or you’ll lose the jailbreak because there is currently no tool available yet which can jailbreak iPad, iPhone and iPod touches on their respective new firmwares.
There are rumors flying left and right about Apple releasing the iOS 4.0.2 firmware for iPhones and iPod touches and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad in only a few hours from now. This update will patch the PDF exploit which is used by JailbreaMe to jailbreak all iOS devices. If you accidently update to iOS 4.0.2 / iOS 3.2.2, it will be impossible for you to jailbreak and unlock straight away until a new tool is available. The only way you can jailbreak again will be by downgrading back to iOS 4.0.1 or iOS 4 for which you will need your SHSH blobs.
This year is getting fired up with a lot of rumors and people are expecting a bunch of new gadgets from Apple. Digitimes is now reporting that Apple is going to launch new Apple TV with iOS, iPads and a CDMA iPhone on Verizon early next year.
Folks at the MacMagazine claims to have got this information from reliable sources within Apple who has confirmed to them that instead of the usual Apple’s “Media event” in September, Apple this year will be hosting their event as early as mid of this August, somewhere around 14th to 16th. Since 14th August falls on Saturday, what they believe is that the event is likely going to be held on Monday or Tuesday i.e. 16th or 17th of this month.
The newly released jailbreak tool named JailbreakMe 2.0 Star makes use of a PDF vulnerability which is present in iOS’ Mobile Safari browser. Now that JailbreakMe has been released, and that the exploit is public, hackers can make use of this exploit by making you download a PDF file in Safari, in the process installing some malicious code to ultimately take control of your iOS device.
Just a quick heads up for those of you are still stuck at Purple-colored (space) screen when jailbreaking iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch or iPad using JailbreakMe 2.0. As most of you might have already read it on our Facebook fanpage, the problem is caused because of cache which needs to be cleared before you can jailbreak your device. The instructions are as follows.
