Apple’s Discontinued iPod touch Is Now Sold Out Across The United States

When Apple discontinued the iPod touch yesterday it didn’t actually say that it was killing it off — it just said that it would be available while stocks last.

Well, today, those stocks don’t. The iPod touch is officially sold out across the United States.

While it’s possible that you will be able to find an iPod touch or two in third-party stores here and there, anyone wanting to be able to buy an iPod touch at an Apple Store is going to be out of luck. All colors and storage capacities are now out of stock, with Apple saying that the product is sold out.

Apple previously offered Space Gray, Ping, Blue, Gold, Red, and Silver colors across 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage capacities.

None of those are available today, while countries like the UK are going in the same direction — although some do remain available if you happen to live in the right part of the country or are willing to take delivery at home.

Apple’s iPod touch had long been overdue a refresh and its being discontinued isn’t that much of a surprise to anyone who had been paying attention. But still, it’d been around for a long time and was many people’s gateway drug before buying an iPhone. It’ll be missed, that’s for sure.
