You Can Now Play Netflix Games On Your iPhone And iPad

Just as was promised, Netflix has now made its games available to be played on iPhones and iPads.

The games themselves are all listed in the App Store and must be downloaded individually, although you’ll need a Netflix subscription to play any of them.

Right now there are just five games available and none of them are likely to compete to hard with the offerings now available in Apple Arcade. But it’s still early days, so we’ll give Netflix the benefit of the doubt here.

The five games available right now include:

  • Stranger Things: 1984
  • Stranger Things 3 The Game
  • Shooting Hoops
  • Teeter (Up)
  • Card Blast!

Each game is listed in the Netflix app and, when tapped, users are kicked to the App Store to initiate the download. The games are free to download and there are no ads or in-app purchases as such. There is one in-app purchase, but it’s there to give gamers the chance to sign up to Netflix from within the game itself.

Netflix will surely be adding more titles in due course, although it still seems unlikely that it will be able to compete with Apple Arcade for some time. This is Netflix however, so expect more games that tie into its TV shows and movies — just like Stranger Things.
