The $19 Polishing Cloth From Apple Is All Sold Out Until Late November

While the big news of this week has been Apple’s new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, it’s fair to say that there is one silent launch that has captured the imagination of the world — the infamous $19 Polishing Cloth.

And anyone who didn’t get their orders in early is set to be waiting for a very long time to get one.

At the time of writing the Polishing Cloth will not ship for new orders until late November, making the cloth more difficult to get hold of than some iPhones and Apple Watches. Quite why this is the case isn’t clear, but ordering now will see your new cloth arrive around November 24.

Apple doesn’t say exactly what the new cloth is made from — only stating that it’s made from a “soft, nonabrasive material.”  Most importantly however, the new cloth can be used to clean anything Apple currently makes — including the Pro Display XDR’s nano-texture glass.

Anyone who hasn’t yet got an order in can probably get away with using something else to clean iPhones, iPads, and Macs, of course.

Just be sure to check the Apple support document for cleaning your particular product before you go spraying anything onto that brand new MacBook Pro.
