Mascone Center’s summer schedule has revealed a “Corporate Event”, which is booked to be held between Monday, June 28, 2010 to Friday July 2, 2010. This is usually the time slot when Apple holds its annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). WWDC event, for the last two years has been home to new iPhone (hardware + software) announcements.
With over 100,000 apps in its sleeve, Apple, beyond any doubt, has the largest number of Apps in its App Store. There is an App for almost anything that you can think off. To show off apps for 2009 Christmas eve, Apple today has released a new iPhone 3GS commercial which shows 12 apps you to enjoy your Christmas with.
In the last quarter, Apple sold out a huge number of iPhone’s, 7.5 million to be precise. The Cupertino based company earned are record US $9.87 billion in revenue and a quarterly profit of US $1.67 billion against the predicted revenue of US $9.4 billion. Major enhancement was seen in its profit share that went upto $1.8, against expected $1.4 per share. This was substantial and solid growth by Apple in this period of economic recession in the world. That’s simply remarkable.
Up until now, we all have seen countless concept prototypes that shows off the supposedly rumored Apple Tablet which the folks in Cupertino have been secretly working on. But none of them comes close to this one, published by a French site named NoWhereElse. This is the prototype that I for one wish was for real.

Verizon with its “iDont, Droid Does” advertising campaign has been ruthlessly targeting Apple iPhone, including Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs personally with its recent ad in Sports Illustrated magazine last week. These Droid ads clearly shows how desperate Verizon is to pitch its phones against the mighty iPhone. The Big ‘V’ has got the two Droid phones and is trying too hard to promote them. How far this ad war is going to benefit them is a bit too early to comment on. But one thing that we all were sure off was that Apple is going to respond to them sooner rather than later.
In continuation of its Droid Does advertising campaign from last month, Verizon in pursuance of anti Apple campaign, has launched yet another ad war against iPhone, which is totally Droid centric, but this time a little personal on Steve Jobs as well. Although the ad is Droid specific, it fails to express or tell any strength or specialty of Droid feature wise, and is rather totally focused on highlighting and targeting the weakness of iPhone. In an interview held today, A representative of O2 UK has revealed that O2 will allow its customers to unlock their iPhone’s once other carriers starts offering them. Since Orange will start offering iPhone 3GS from tomorrow, its pretty clear that starting on 10th November i.e. tomorrow, O2 will allow its users to unlock their iPhone’s so that they can use it with any carrier. However the customers will have to abide by their existing contract with O2 if any.
Apple today has announced that iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS is going to be released by Orange in UK, thus ending the anticipated speculation of O2 exclusivity in this regard. Its a great news for all those who were reluctant to switch over to O2 just to get the iPhone.
Apple today has unveiled the next generation of their iPod lineup at “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it” event in San Francisco. Steve Jobs who hosted the event announced the new refreshed iPod lineup which includes iPod touch 3G, iPod nano 5G, iPod classic and iPod shuffle.
