The current generation of MacBook Pro’s are powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors. At CES 2010 last month, Intel officially unveiled Core i5 and Core i7 processors for the first time for portable computers. Apple’s MacBook Pro line is due for an upgrade this year and it would only be wise for Apple to ship these with Core i5/i7 processors as they are now the flagship chipsets of Intel.
Steve Jobs surely didn’t tell us everything about the iPad when it was unveiled last Wednesday. This must be part of his business strategy to keep some of these features for the future version of iPad, just like what they did with the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and then 3GS.

As was predicted, CEO of McGraw-Hill has confirmed in an interview to CNBC today that Apple is going to announce their Tablet on 27th and it will run on iPhone OS. Terry McGraw, who is the CEO of the famous publishing company further went on to confirm that they “have worked with Apple for quite a while” and that it will be based on the “iPhone operating system”.
Everyone is anxious waiting to know all about the eagerly awaited Apple Tablet device aka iSlate/iPad/iTablet. According to the latest round of rumors from HotHardware, Apple Tablet may not be the only device which will be unveiled this Wednesday. Inside sources have told the site that AT&T is set to loose iPhone exclusivity on the very same day. Nothing however has been said or heard about which US carrier or carriers are going to carry the iPhone come this Wednesday.
The thinnest notebook in Apple’s MacBook line is Air which hasn't seen an upgrade since last June. This however may change soon but not before the similar upgrades for MacBook and MacBook Pro. A French site named HardMac speculates that due to non-availability of the new low-draw Intel Core i5 chips, MacBook Air with Core i5 may not ship at the same time as MacBook Pros.
