The iPhone version of the popular social networking game on Facebook has finally arrived. FarmVille for iPhone was first announced earlier this month at WWDC 10.
iPhone 4 has arrived in iFixit lab and with no surprises, they have taken it down for a full dissection of Apple’s newly released device. The teardown has confirmed that iPhone 4 houses 512MB RAM instead of 256MB found in leaked prototypes, the front glass panel (Retina Display) of the iPhone 4 is constructed of Corning Gorilla Glass to protect it from wear and tear, and there is also a second microphone for voice cancellation just like the one found in Google Nexus One.
Apparently, there is an unofficial version of PwnageTool out in the wild which can jailbreak iPhone 3GS (with old bootrom and already pwned on 3.1.2) on the latest iOS 4 firmware. The creators of the original PwnageTool has confirmed that this version has been modified and redistributed without their permission, and most importantly, it doesn’t patches some important files which are required for the ultrasn0w unlock to work properly.
As was expected, Apple has just released iBooks app for iPhones iPod touches running the newly released iOS 4. This release basically makes iBooks a universal binary, which means that you can run the same app on both the iPhone and iPad.
Apparently, there is a working iPhone 4 floating around in Czech Republic whose camera pictures and video samples have been published for everyone to see. The Czech reviewer has also taken note of the battery which after an hour of playing games, surfing Internet, YouTube and using Google Maps, battery only fell by 10%, which is great for a phone.
The title says it all. MacRumors has confirmed that the new Apple iPhone 4 features 512MB of RAM, which is equal to the likes of Nexus One, EVO 4G and HTC HD2 (HD2 has 576MB RAM), but twice than that of iPhone 3GS and iPad. For those of you who don't know, the original iPhone (2G / EDGE) and iPhone 3G had 128MB RAM, iPhone 3GS had double i.e. 256MB of RAM, and so did iPad. But with iPhone 4, Apple is taking the strides by doubling the RAM to 512MB.
The response that Apple has got for the new iPhone 4 has far outstretched their supply chain. Apple today has issued a statement in which they have stated that more than 600,000 iPhone 4s have been pre-ordered through Apple and its carrier partners yesterday. According to reps at AT&T, this is ten times as many orders as they took for the iPhone 3GS last year.
It is out now and it is official ! The Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard update has been released. It is a very crucial update and it implements hundreds of fixes since the last few updates, 10.6.3(March 2010) and 10.6.2(November 2009). Good news for those of you who are in UK, France and Canada. iPhone 4 in these countries are available without contract, which means that it is unlocked so that you can use it with any carrier you want - anywhere in the world. These SIM free unlocked iPhone 4’s are available for £499 for the 16GB model, and £599 for the 32GB model in the UK, €629 for 16GB and €739 for the 32GB in France, and $649 for the 16GB and $749 for the 32GB in Canada.
