Sketchy Rumor Claims iPhone 14 Will Offer 2TB Of Storage

Apple’s new iPhone 13 hasn’t been around for long but that isn’t stopping the next round of rumors from landing. We’ve already heard that the iPhone 14 might do away with the current camera bump and notch, but a new report claims that it will also offer 2TB of storage.

Apple only began offering a 1TB option with its iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max last month.

The new report comes via Chinese site MyDrivers, and should absolutely be taken with a pinch of salt. That being said, it mentions that Apple will use QLC flash memory in its attempt to offer yet more storage.

By next year’s iPhone 14 series, Apple will continue to increase capacity. Some partners are already testing new products. Flash memory may be upgraded to QLC flash memory, and the maximum capacity may be increased to 2TB .

Given the premium Apple charges for 1TB of storage we can only imagine that a 2TB iPhone 14 Pro Max would be a very costly device indeed. If this rumor is true, we’ll find out around this time next year.

Would you consider paying up to get your hands on a 2TB iPhone? We’re not sure why anyone would need quite so much space, but with ProRes video recording set to take up to 6GB of storage per minute, maybe there is a need for it after all.
