Report: Apple’s M1X MacBook Pros Will Be Available In ‘Several Weeks’

Apple’s 14-inch and 16-inch M1X MacBook Pro notebooks will be available to buy in “the next several weeks,” according to a new report.

Writing in his weekly Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman outlines plans for the event that will take place tomorrow.

That event is expected to focus on iPhones and Apple Watches, leaving the new iPads and Macs to be announced at a different event. We should expect that event to happen in a matter of weeks, according to Gurman’s comments.

M1X MacBook Pro: 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with high-end M1 chips, MagSafe magnetic charging, miniLED screens, and no Touch Bars are in the offing. After delays, look out for these to hit shelves in the next several weeks.

This will be the biggest MacBook Pro refresh in some time thanks to the use of the powerful M1X Apple silicon, mini-LED technology in the displays, and the return of MagSafe. A new chassis design is also expected to be part of this refresh, too.

The use of new display technology will allow for improved colors and brightness, while the M1X processor is thought to be a speedier version of the already impressive M1 chip that powers Macs today.

Apple’s September 14 event might not feature Macs or iPads, but there is still plenty to look forward to. The iPhone 13 lineup as well as Apple Watch Series 7 are a given at this point, while new AirPods might also be announced, too.
