Having established that a significant portion of those adopting the Windows Phone platform will be doing so from Google's Android, Microsoft has created a ‘Switch to Windows Phone’ app which aims to make the process as painless as possible. I must admit, when I first saw it, I thought it was shameless plugging bordering on propaganda, but having delved beneath the surface, it does appear that the Redmond's main objective here is to lay the foundations for a smooth migration over to the tiled realms of Windows Phone 8.

The Google Search app for iOS received the update to cap all updates a couple of days back when it was revealed that the company had integrated its Now service to users on the Apple operating system. The teaser site for the next in the series of Call of Duty has gone live, presenting a dark background with a pixelated but still visible image of a ghost's mask. The new landing page, which can be found over at callofduty.com, signifies that an announcement of the forthcoming title is nigh, and with leaks indicating Ghosts as being a central theme to the next Call of Duty release, it doesn't appear as though avid fans of the series will have to wait too much longer to learn of specifics.

It is natural for an Apple product to become 'vintage' or 'obsolete' after five years, but there's a certain significance, dare I say poignancy attached to this particular progression, for the device is about as iconic as anything Apple has ever released.
The music controls on the lock screen of iOS, which are brought about with a simple double tap of the home button, are very useful in allowing you to play, pause, or skip through your music library without having to go and open the Music app itself. Although, as 9to5Mac reports, the changes will be some of the most significant the software has seen in its lifetime, it is also reckoned that users will have little trouble adapting to the changes.
