Oliver Haslam·February 14, 2014
It's always big news when Nokia announces a new smartphone, and it's looking increasingly likely that the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 24th is set to see a new, budget handset join Nokia's growing smartphone ranks.

You Can Now Set ‘Custom’ As Gender On Facebook

Paul Morris·February 14, 2014
In its ten year existence, Facebook has already shown us that it is prepared to make changes and amendments that it feels will benefit its member base. Some of those changes have manifested themselves as part of a radical functionality or interface overhaul, while others have been a lot more subtle and have focused on individual settings that are accessible by registered members. In a move that is aimed at affording Facebook members the right to express their true identity, the social network is now offering a custom gender option as part of the process that involves selecting a sex.

Windows 8 Passes The 200 Million Licenses Sold Milestone

Oliver Haslam·February 14, 2014
It may have its detractors in both the PC and Mac world, but Windows 8 certainly has its good points. It seems that we're not the only ones to think that either, with the news coming out of Microsoft today that the controversial Windows 8 can now boast 200 million licenses sold.

BBM 2.0 For iPhone And Android Released: Voice Calling, Location Sharing And More [VIDEO]

Oliver Haslam·February 14, 2014
It took far too long in the eyes of many, but when BlackBerry first brought BBM to both Android and iOS, the app and associated service was met with a tepid response at best. While it's true that BBM has, or at least had a core user base that was propping BlackBerry up despite its many failings, alternatives like WhatsApp left Android and iOS users wondering what all the fuss was about. It didn't help that the apps weren't great, either.

How To Catch Your iPhone’s Snoopers Red Handed

Paul Morris·February 14, 2014
Apple's latest breed of iOS devices do a fairly comprehensive job of ensuring that our data is protected. The long-standing Passcode feature has recently been beefed up and complimented with the introduction of Touch ID on the iPhone 5s, meaning that it's now even more difficult for malicious individuals to get access to what's on our iPhone. But what about if you require a method of determining whether or not a friend, family member, colleague or lifelong enemy has been tampering and interacting with your iPhone or iPod touch behind your back? There's now an app for that on the iOS App Store called Catchr.

How To Switch iOS 7 Keyboard Language On The Fly

Oliver Haslam·February 14, 2014
When Steve Jobs announced the original iPhone way back in 2007, he made a real point of explaining why having an on-screen software keyboard was superior to using a hardware alternative. These days it seems obvious that having software keyboards means that we can customize that experience to the Nth degree, but six years ago it was a novelty. How times have changed.

PlayStation Plus Glitch Lets PS4 Users Extend The 14-Day Trial Indefinitely Without Paying A Dime

Ben Reid·February 13, 2014
It's always nice to get something for free in life, and while Xbox 360 users had to pony up a subscription free for the privilege of using Xbox LIVE, those on the PS3 enjoyed the PlayStation Network's online multiplayer infrastructure free of charge. But while Sony has since switched things up with the PlayStation 4's paid, PS Plus service, one savvy user has found a little loophole that effectively lets you use it for free, extending the 14-day PS Plus trial by a seemingly infinite length of time.

Angry Birds Stella Game Announced, Featuring All New Birds! [Image]

Paul Morris·February 13, 2014
Flappy Bird, Threes and Clash of Clans is definitely what’s happening in the iOS gaming world at the moment. The addictiveness and challenging nature of Flappy Bird has ensured that it still remains installed on millions of iOS devices, even though the developer has permanently removed it from the App Store. The popularity of the annoying little bird has managed to provide a ray of hope as indie developers and small game studios try and compete with the larger development houses. As one bird disappears from the mobile gaming world, it looks like we are set to welcome in a whole new family of mischievous aves in the form of a new Angry Birds Stella courtesy of Rovio.

LG G Pro 2 Announced: 5.9-inch Display, 13-Megapixel Camera, 3GB RAM And More

Ben Reid·February 13, 2014
Even though many experts have argued that the vast majority of the hardware within the latest smartphones represents overkill, the OEMs simply cannot resist packing new handsets to the gills with more powerful, cutting-edge technology. As geeks, we're also rather taken in by an impressive list of specs, and with the hotly-anticipated Galaxy S5 on the horizon, LG has jumped the gun and announced its latest flagship G Pro 2. With a sizeable, uber-sharp display, blazingly fast processor and generally beefed-up interiors, the G Pro 2 is an absolute beast of the smartphone industry, and you can drool over the full details after the leap!

This Might Be Our First Look At iPhone 6 (Leaked Photos) [Update x1]

Ben Reid·February 13, 2014
We've heard from a number of sources that Apple is planning two larger iPhones for release in 2014 - one with a 4.7-inch display and another packing a decidedly-extensive 5.5-inch panel. But after seeing just how carried away folks got with the so-called iPhone 5 in the run-up to what eventually amounted to the iPhone 4s, it's always good to have some physical evidence - however vague - to corroborate the incessant claims. Shots of a new rear-shell leak, along with an alleged iPhone 6 prototype, have just leaked into the wild, and from the looks of it, the iPhone 6 will carry a similar design language which we’ve seen in the iPad Air.
