Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love” Music Video Was Shot On An iPhone

Lady Gaga’s latest music video, for the “Stupid Love” song, was shot entirely on an iPhone, and it looks stunning.

The singer said as much when she teased the song yesterday alongside a #ShotOniPhone hashtag. That’s the tag that everyone uses when posting video or photos to social media after they were, you guessed it, shot on an iPhone. Apple also leans into this in its own promotional material and runs its own Shot on iPhone competitions.

The video can now be watched online, with Apple also sharing it via its YouTube channel. Apple says that the video was shot on an iPhone 11 Pro, which makes plenty fo sense.

This isn’t the first high profile music video to have been shot on an iPhone. The video for Selena Gomez’s “Lose You to Love Me” single was also shot using an iPhone 11 Pro after the singer collaborated with Apple on the project. She also appeared at an Apple event when Apple Park was officially opened last year.

While phones like the Pixel 4 and Galaxy S20 can definitely give Apple a run for its money in terms of still photos, video is a different story. Apple has everyone beat there, with iPhone videos being of a higher quality than anything the competition can offer. The new Galaxy S20 Ultra can record 8K video, but it doesn’t look as impressive as Apple’s 4K footage.

Remember folks, speeds and feeds don’t always tell the true story.
