Google Pixel 5a 5G Price And Specs Leak Ahead Of Rumored August Launch

We’ve been expecting Google to announce the Pixel 5a 5G for some time and with the company having just taken the wraps off the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, it’s surely only a matter of time.

It’s now expected that the announcement will come later this month and based on new leaks, we think we know much more than that.

According to information shared by Jon Prosser, the new device is going to come with a 6.4-inch display and cost around $450. In terms of design, we’re told to expect something similar to the Pixel 4a 5G, but with the larger display.

Prosser says that the refresh rate will be “60Hz – forced 90Hz” but it isn’t clear what he means by that.

In terms of internal hardware, the same Snapdragon 765G from the Pixel 5 is expected, while 6GB of RAM and a 4,650mAh battery should round out the main specifications. An IP67 dust and water-resistance rating is also in the cards.

If everything pans out as we expect it to, we shouldn’t have to wait too many more days before this phone is announced properly. We’ll also get to learn what Prosser’s weird display refresh rate comments meant, too.
