Foxconn And Pegatron Are Offering Big Bonuses To New Recruits To Speed Up iPhone 13 Production

If everything goes according to plan we expect Apple to announce the iPhone 13 lineup this September, but that means that Apple’s partners need to get the ball rolling in terms of production pretty soon, if not already.

To help that, both Foxconn and Pegatron are reportedly offering big incentives to employees who help it recruit people.

According to a Taiwan Economic Daily – via Google Translate – the two Apple partners are keen to bring more people into the company to help deal with iPhone 13 production.

Preparing for the Apple iPhone 13 (tentative name), after the Hon Hai Group’s start of recruitment, Pegatron (4938) ‘s iPhone production hub Shanghai Pegatron Factory recently raised the recruitment bonus, and the “rebate” was increased from RMB 5,500 (about NTD) at the end of May. 23,760 yuan), up to 8,500 yuan (approximately NT$36,720) to meet the manpower demand in the upcoming peak season.

Foxconn is also offering some big numbers in an attempt to help ensure that people are coming through the door at a time where it’s a case of the more hands, the better.

The latest general worker recruitment announcement of Foxconn Zhengzhou Plant under the Hon Hai Group shows that the internal recommendation bonus comes to RMB 6,000, and the resignation bonus is 5,400 RMB, which is significantly higher than the bonus in May.

Both of these numbers represent significant bonuses that exceed a month’s usual wage for Foxconn and Pegatron employees, just highlighting how keen the two companies are to get people into the building. It also shows that perhaps they should be paying their existing employees more, too.
