Rumors in the tech industry serve as a double edged sword. In one place, they build up confusion and raise false hopes thanks to their innate nature, but on the other hand, they are also responsible for generating the hype around a product, developing public interest, keep people on the edge of their seats in anticipation, and, to some extent, give creative ideas to the manufacturers themselves. The Cupertino fruit company has never had a shortage of the rumor mill when it comes to anything that’s released, or about to be. Akin to various other manufacturers, Apple, too, has maintained a solid schedule of releasing one new generation of the iPhone almost every year, and just like with every release, you get a good dose of rumors.
With iOS 6 out for a few months and iOS 6.1 right around the corner, many are already wondering where Apple might next take its mobile operating system. The iPhone 5 was released a few months ago with much fanfare, yet many have been left questioning whether Apple has made its infamous new device as good as it could. Those wondering what the device might have been have suggested many minor features, but a new concept that emerged on a French website looks very appealing.
It is a well-known fact that many of us have developed something of an attachment to our mobile devices. In fact, some smartphone owners could have their devices stuck to their hands permanently, and nobody would think anything amiss. But some folk – or at least, those with an affinity to Apple - have taken their love for their prized gadget a little further, using familiar Cupertino products as inspiration for child-naming.
If there's one certainty in life, especially in the world of technology, it's that someone somewhere probably thinks they can do whatever you do, but better. People think they would make a better job of running Facebook or Twitter. That they know how Google should move forward with Android and, sometimes, they even know how to write awesome tech articles.
