The excitement and adrenaline that surrounds the release of any new or upgraded Apple product is something that manages to take hold of the technology loving world every time the company decides to push out a new or updated piece of kit. We may feel frustrated for allowing ourselves to get so excited about a gadget or a smartphone release, but for reasons known only to themselves, a lot of people have a strong emotional attachment to Apple's kit.
I don't imagine that I am the only person in the world who spends most of his day buried face first into an iPhone, iPad or MacBook. And in that respect, said devices become something I depend on and can't honestly get my day's social and professional work done without them. It sounds pretty weird to say out loud, but the three Apple products I use daily have almost become an extension of who I am and I therefore like them set up just right.
We all know that Mark Zuckerberg's company is a social network steam train that towers above other services of its kind, consuming other businesses and technologies as it continues on its journey of world domination. Perhaps what we didn't know or expect so soon, is that Apple would board that steam train and integrate Facebook into iOS, but as consumers we are definitely glad they have. The native integration doesn't remove the need for the official Facebook iOS app, but if you are one of the many users who are baffled by its inability to consistently work then it might be time to look at Facebook in a new light.
If you are a proud owner of an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 5 or above and are feeling a little envious of those registered developers who get early access to iOS 6 and all of the new and sparkly features that it brings, then thankfully a jailbreak tweak will alleviate some of your jealousy. When Apple released iOS 5 in October of 2011, it brought with it a number of exciting features that developers within the jailbreak community immediately became interested in. The introduction of Siri was obviously something that peaked interest, but the most widely hooked-into aspect of the current major release of Apple's mobile operating system has to be the Notification Center. Just trawling through Cydia will return multiple widgets that can be used in the new notification hub, with the PictureFrameCenter package being one of the latest.
