HTC has long been known as a great alternative to Apple’s monopolistic dominance in the smartphone world. In a bold new move, the company is now opening up its Sense interface, as well as its bootloader, to third-party developers.
The Google+ iOS app has been updated today to support the previously “missing” iOS devices, the iPod touch and the iPad, just weeks after the original iPhone-only app was unveiled. All iOS users are urged to download this update as soon as possible from their device’s App Store or iTunes.

YouTube and Google+, are two Google properties, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that both should be integrated as closely as possible to one another. +Hangouts, Google+’s group video chat feature, has since its inception allowed YouTube video to be played back within video conversations allowing all participants to view the same video simultaneously. It now seems that support for YouTube Live, YouTube’s live streaming service, is being added to +Hangouts, allowing live events to be played back in real time as well.
Samsung’s Galaxy S II smartphone will soon be available in a white version, Redmond Pie has learned. The Galaxy S II was announced back in February at Mobile World Congress and was released in May to select countries. It is one of, if not, the most well-received Android smartphone to date. Critics have been lauding it for the outstanding experience that it offers on its glorious 4.3” Super AMOLED Plus display with its dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM.

Samsung has sold over 5 million units of their Galaxy S II Android smartphone in under 85 days, Redmond Pie has learned. The news comes from Yonhap News, a Korean newspaper which states that the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer has announced that their Galaxy S II smartphone has shipped and sold over 5 million units in just under three months after launching in select countries over the world in May.
