The iPhone 5C, Apple's first attempt at offering a budget device, is expected to be unveiled alongside the new flagship iPhone 5S at a special event to be held on September 10th, and we've seen many leaks and sightings of the polycarbonate-enclosed handset already. But today, via French blog Nowhererlse, an image has emerged of what is claimed to be the device packaged in its retail casing ahead of shipment.
We first heard a few days back that Apple would begin an iPhone trade-in program around the time of the release of the next-gen handsets, a move designed to boost general sales of the device from the company's own retail stores rather than partners. Today, the service has come into full effect and now, consumers will be able to trade-in their old devices in part-exchange for a gleaming new handset.
Yesterday, Apple TV added several new services to its roster, including the Disney Channel, VEVO and the Smithsonian Channel, among a plethora of others. Continuing in that vein, sports fans today get their fill with the news that WatchESPN's content - which was a part of Apple TV 5.3 update - has been expanded once more, brining both ESPNews and ESPN Deportes to the fore. With a wide selection of ESPN services already available through Apple TV even before this update, the Apple set-top is really growing in its appeal to the sports lovers, and with both ESPNews and ESPN Deportes also hitting the WatchESPN app for iOS, those on the iPhone and iPad can also join in the fun.
It seems almost certain that Apple will introduce two new iPhones on September 10th, the date set for a special media event to showcase the budget iPhone 5C and the flagship iPhone 5S. But while we continue to see leaks an hear rumors of the iPad 5 and second-gen iPad mini, there hasn't been much indication to suggest that the upgraded tablets will be launching alongside those new iPhones. However, a report from Bloomberg cites "a person familiar with the matter" in stating that the Cupertino company has “several more game changers” in the offing, which could mean that we see those new iPads at the very same event.

Today, high quality images of the rear shell of the device have emerged directly from Apple's supply chain, and as previously suspected, it's based heavily upon the White & Silver variant of the iPhone 5, with most of the silver areas instead finished in gleaming gold.
