Great news for Nexus One owners! It looks like Google has started rolling out Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) for their very own Google Phone, which is more widely known as the Nexus One. The update is available now via OTA (Over-the-Air) download and will take some time before the roll out completes. Keep checking the notification tray for a “System Alert” for Android 2.2 which could be here for you any minute.
Android port for iPhone 3G is now finally available for download. You can do pretty much everything that you would expect a normal Android phone to do but it is still not recommended for day-to-day regular use. The power management functions of Android for iPhone 3G are yet to be implemented so your phone will only last for an hour or so of Android use before the battery runs out. Yes, it is good only for showing off to your friends that you have Android running on iPhone 3G.

Since both the HTC HD2 and HTC EVO 4G shares almost same specs (hardware wise), the comparison between the two is evitable. HTC EVO 4G will be available on Sprint’s 4G network starting 4th of June, for $199 (after all the discounts) on a new contract. To enjoy WiMAX on this device, you will be paying $10 extra a month for the “Premium Data add-on” on top your chosen plan. Moreover, the 8-device hotspot feature will cost $29.99 extra every month. Since the device has a front cam for video conferencing, you’ll be able to do video chats over both 3G and 4G speeds using Qik app.
Finally, Quake III (aka Quake 3) has been successfully ported to the Google Nexus One! The game runs smoothly with a high frame rate, thanks to Nexus One’s powerful hardware. The great thing about it is that you can give it a go on almost any Android phone as long as it has Android 1.6 or higher. Android 1.5 and below is a no go for now.
