Tesla Gives Model S And Model X A Grand Farewell With Special Signature Edition

Tesla is about to stop selling the Model S and Model X electric vehicles, but not before it releases a special version of each dubbed the Signature Series Plaid editions.

Both of the new EVs will be offered in Garnet Red only, as well as gold Tesla and Plaid logos on both the front and the back of the vehicles.

That Signature branding will also be included on the number plates and key fob.

Other changes compared to the usual Plaid models include white interiors with a new, gold trim and special wheels that include black skull caps. 21-inch Velarium wheels will come with the Model S, and 22-inch Machina wheels with the X.

Both EVs will be quick, too. Tesla estimates the Model S Plaid Signature will reach a top speed of 200 mph, accelerate to 60 mph in 1.99 seconds, and deliver an EPA-rated 309 miles of range. The bigger, heavier Model X Plaid Signature tops out at 163 mph with a 2.5-second sprint to 60 mph and a rated 303-mile range.

Both EVs come with the Luxe Package as standard and include Premium Connectivity, four years of extended service, and free Supercharging.

As for pricing, $159,420 is required to get either EV, and you’ll have to be invited to buy one, too.
