4.7-inch iPhone 6 Compared In Size To Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, More [Images]

Ben Reid·April 24, 2014
It is strongly suspected that the next-generation iPhone, unofficially dubbed the "iPhone 6" for obvious reasons, will sport a larger, 4.7-inch display. Various case leaks, analyst reports and concept designs have turned this notion into mainstream consensus, and with a fairly solid idea of what a display increase may do to the form factor of the Apple smartphone, how does it stand up against some of the more sizeable flagship Android handsets currently available?

This App Brings Free iOS 7 Control Center To Android With Customizable Options

Ben Reid·April 24, 2014
In terms of general functionality, there's little argument that Apple's iOS is playing catch-up with Android, which thanks to its open source nature, can be readily tailored to suit the individual user. One of the most popular iOS jailbreak tweaks leading up to iOS 7 was SBSettings, which allowed features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to be controlled with a swipe, negating the need to trawl through the Settings app. This issue has since been resolved through Apple's introduction of the Control Center, though, and if you're an Android user partial to the way this particular iOS feature is laid out, a new Play Store entry touts a similar experience.

Photos Of Samsung Galaxy K Cameraphone Leaks, Shows Off 10x Optical Zoom Lens [Photos]

Ben Reid·April 23, 2014
Following last year's release of the Samsung Galaxy S4, its Korean maker released an abundance of spin-off devices, including the ruggedized Galaxy S4 Active and the camera-focused Galaxy S4 Zoom. Since the newly-released Galaxy S5 packs the former Active's dust and waterproofing features as standard, we're only anticipating the Galaxy S5 Zoom, or "Galaxy K" this time around, and a new, legitimate-looking leak showcases said handset's 10x optical zoom lens.

OnePlus One CyanogenMod Powered Smartphone Made Official; It’s A Beast!

Ben Reid·April 23, 2014
The community propping up CyanogenMod, one of the most popular aftermarket firmware available to Android users, is expansive to say the least, and with hardware maker Oppo having teamed up last year with the CM team to build a handset packing the versatile, customizable software pre-loaded, Oppo's spin-off company OnePlus appears to have taken things to the next level. The OnePlus One smartphone will run CyanogenMod 11S (based on Android 4.4) right off the bat, and with an impressive list of tech specs and a very agreeable price point, could prove a real hit with hack-minded consumers.

Ben Reid·April 22, 2014

New Galaxy S5 Variant With 2K Display Release Seems Imminent

Ben Reid·April 22, 2014
In the run-up to the showcasing of the Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress back in February, it was rumored that Samsung was preparing two distinctive variations of its flagship handset, and even when the official announcement finally came, reports continued to suggest that something else - something better - was on the horizon. Now, fresh reports seem to indicate that the device is very much real, and although those who've held off the purchase in light of the rumors will feel happy that they did so, one suspects that some early adopters of the Galaxy S5 will feel a tad short-changed.
