Google today has released a significant update for their flagship Android phone - Nexus One almost right after when Apple pushed firmware 3.1.3 for iPhone users. This new update (ERE27) for Nexus One brings the much needed official support for multitouch in Web Browser, Maps and 3D Gallery. You can now finally use pinch-to-zoom gestures just like how you can on an iPhone. This update also fixes the 3G issue which has been bugging T-Mobile users. The complete feature list as illustrated on the official blog is as follows.

The newly released iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone and iPod touch updates baseband to 05.12.01 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, hence making it impossible for these two devices to get unlocked using blackra1n with blacksn0w. Fortunately for iPhone 2G (the first generation iPhone with EDGE) users, the baseband remains intact. The iPhone DevTeam has just confirmed that their newly released jailbreaking tool called redsn0w 0.9.3 can be used to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 2G on firmware 3.1.3, provided that you have jailbroken it previously at least once.

Some second hand sources have informed TechCrunch that Apple is already working on a OS X based tablet which is scheduled to hit the stores later this year. This tablet in question will be powered by Intel processor, unlike iPad which runs on Apple’s A4 processor.
The infamous iPhone DevTeam is now back with a newer version of redsn0w which brings support for IPCC tethering hack for iPhone 3G and 3GS only. This IPCC tethering hack enables you to install carrier bundles that aren't officially signed by Apple on the latest iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. With this, you can connect your iPhone (3G and 3GS only) with your PC or a Mac in a way which enables your PC/Mac to connect to Internet via 3G network on your iPhone.
Folks over at Slide-to-Play have published 7 different videos, showing hands-on experience with existing iPhone games running on the newly announced iPad. According to the source of the videos, most of the games they tried were not optimized for higher resolution screen of iPad, but they still looked pretty good. Videos after the jump.
The final version of redsn0w 0.9 is now available for download. For those of you who don't know, Redsn0w is an alternative jailbreaking tool to blackra1n for both Windows and Mac. It also enables users to personalize iPhone firmwares with customized boot and recovery logos without having to use iTunes as there are no custom IPSW files involved.
