Last month, we informed you about an emulation software named Haret which enabled Windows phones to run Android OS side by side with Windows Mobile 6.x. This solution required booting into Windows Mobile first, before you could run Android using Haret. But now, some folks at XDA-Developers have released a new software/tool named Gen.Y DualBOOT which enables Windows phone users to dual boot Windows Mobile and Android OS on the very same handset.

Apple iPad, which was announced earlier this week received a mixed reaction from all over the world. Some found it as an oversized iPod touch, while others thought that it has the potential to redefine the way we will use our computers in the future. In a nutshell, iPad is indeed an oversized iPod touch/iPhone except for iBooks Store and iWorks Suite of apps.
Apple has announced the availability of iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta for developers to make sure their apps are ready for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch when the iPad is released in exactly two months from now. Members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access the development bits for iPhone OS 3.2 Beta for iPad by signing into Apple Developer Connection.
The long awaited Apple iPad was released today, much to the delight of Apple fans who were waiting for Apple to reinvent the tablet/slate market. For those of you who don’t know, iPad is an all new tablet/slate like device that will run all of your existing iPhone Apps and Games on a a 9.7 inches IPS capacitive multitouch display. It is powered by 1Ghz processor and comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flash sizes. More features of the device can be found here.
The father of iPhone Jailbreak who first unlocked the original iPhone back in 2007, followed by unlocking iPhone 3GS last year and the person who was responsible for blackra1n and blacksn0w tools has finally released the exploit for hacking PS3. In a blog post today, he explained that the PS3 exploit which he has released “gives full memory access and therefore ring 0 access from OtherOS”.
Just found out this Youtube video floating around the web which shows the rumored Apple Tablet device being listed on the Canadian version of Apple site i.e. Apple.ca. Even if the video is doctored, it is done well and maybe worth checking out. Video after the jump.
A Chinese site by the name of QQ (QQ.com – English translated version) claims to have got hold of the specifications for the successor to HTC HD2. According to them, HTC HD3 will launch in November 2010 (exactly one year after HD2) and will be powered by Windows Mobile 7. Moreover, it will feature Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor, a 4.5’’ HD display, HDMI port, support for 4G, WiFi and WIMAX, 8 megapixel camera with support for 720p HD recording, 16GB internal memory and 32GB external via microSD card.
Microsoft has just released Silverlight 4 based facebook client for both Windows and Mac OS X. Back in April last year, Microsoft showed off a proof of concept facebook client which was made using facebook’s Open Stream API on Silverlight but unfortunately that never saw the light of the day. After a long wait, they have finally released a fully working client for users running Windows and OS X – with full capability to run it out-of-the-browser.
Most of you who are either following me on twitter, or are subscribed to our facebook fanpage may already know that I bought Nexus One today and just to make it a bit different, I decided to unbox it side by side with another similarly spec’ed phone – the HTC HD2. Both Nexus One and HTC HD2 are powered by 1Ghz Snapdragon processor.
The thinnest notebook in Apple’s MacBook line is Air which hasn't seen an upgrade since last June. This however may change soon but not before the similar upgrades for MacBook and MacBook Pro. A French site named HardMac speculates that due to non-availability of the new low-draw Intel Core i5 chips, MacBook Air with Core i5 may not ship at the same time as MacBook Pros.
