As with the race to get App Store apps updated for iOS 8, jailbreak developers are also still working to get their tweaks ready for the new mobile operating system. Again, just like App Store developers, some have been quicker to get updates out than others and that's not always through a lack of effort. Some tweaks just need some work to get right.

The EFF has this week filed a petition to the Librarian of Congress and the Copyright Office to extend and expand the exemption that allows the jailbreaking of smartphones. The new petition will hopefully see tablets added to the current exemption.
